Penn State Behrend has announced the completion of the first phase of the Wintergreen Gorge improvement project. Improvements include a new bamboo boardwalk, a compacted aggregate trail, rain gardens, and an expanded parking lot on Cooper Road. A half-mile section of the Cooper Road Trail is now ADA accessible and the parking lot includes 2 ADA parking spaces. The University has secured funding for phase two to extend the compacted aggregate path to Trout Run to begin in late 2021.
